Backupper Pro doesn't see my external ssd

Wanted to clone a crucial MX500 250gb (mbr) to a MX500 4tb (gpt).  Connected the 4tb externally  (USB caddy), which is seen by Windows 10, but not by backupper.

I paid for a license for this very task, and hope I haven't wasted my money.

If you already have Backupper open, and later plug in a disk, please go to the upper right corner, and click "Reload" to tell Backupper to rescan for new disks. If that does not work, please reinstall Backupper. If that does not work, please try using Aomei Partition Assistant, it has a clone disk and clone partition function. You could also use the free Backupper or Partition Assistant USB tools.

Sending the 4tb back and going for a 2tb this time.  I'll let you know how I get on, whilst taking onboard your suggestions if I have trouble again.

@Joepineapples, AOMEI Backupper currently can't list disk with 4096 bytes/sector. You can press Win+R, type “msinfo32” in the Run box, then open Components-->Storage-->Disks-->check the Bytes/sector of the drive.
And, if the source disk is 512 bytes/sector, target disk is 4096 bytes/sector, you can't  clone from a 512 disk to 4096 one.

I'm struggling to find that info for the 2TB MX500 (haven't ordered yet), though my 500gb and 1TB versions are both 512 bytes/sector.

@Joepineapples, Please download AOMEI Partition Assistant to see if it can list your external ssd.

PC is back with my friend at the minute.  I have since found out that the 2TB MX500 is 512bytes/sector so will report back as soon as I get the system back (with the 2TB)
