Restoring erased data on destination source

Hi,

I've done a basic clone from my D-Disk to an external hard drive. I had files on the external hard drive and I didn't know they would get deleted during the cloning process - I didn't see the warning and have made a huge mistake!

Does anyone know if I can recover the erased files on the external hard drive?
