[yet another] inaccessible boot device error

Hi, I used Backupper pro to clone my internal ssd disk to an external usb connected ssd by Sandisk.
I tried both the system clone and disk clone options.
Both times I get the inaccessible boot device error when I try to boot from the external disk.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

  • @Gcf, "...when I try to boot from the external disk."----Could you try to connect the cloned disk as internal drive and then set it to boot under BIOS?
In addition, please check if the cloned disk is same disk type (GPT or MBR)as the source disk.

If the internal drive is C: and is still connected, then it will be impossible to boot because the external will use some other drive letter.

You could temporarily disconnect the internal.  If it is an M.2 SSD then this is too hard in my opinion, and if it has a shield even worse.  If the internal is a 2.5-inch SATA SSD you could disconnect the SATA cable, then try and boot from the external.
