Partition Recovery Wizard

I am trying to recover a partition on my external hard drive. I'm on the recovery wizard and it says its scanning, please wait... but it's been 2 hours and it still shows 0% scanned. Is this normal or do I need to do something? Any help, greatly appreciated 🙏

    It has now been 10 hours and nothing has happened. What is wrong? Am I doing something wrong?

    @Lfisher447, What status is your external drive? Please take screenshots of AOMEI Partition Assistant and Windows Disk Management so that we check.
