Linux Rescue Media not recognizing a USB mouse

When I boot up my machine using the Linux Rescue CD everything appears to be fine except that the mouse does not work.  You see the mouse pointer displayed on the screen but it doesn't work.  My guess is that the mouse driver is not being loaded when the machine is booted up off of the rescue disc.

The mouse is a Logitech wireless M510 mouse with a USB wireless receiver.  Now if I create the WinPE Bootable Legacy Disc the mouse works fine off of that boot disc.  The drivers for the mouse are the Microsoft default drivers in Windows 10, Ver 2004.

  • Hi Vbbritt,
The Linux bootable media doesn't the drivers of USB wireless receiver. We will update the Linux bootable media after.
  • The Linux bootable rescue media ISO still has not been updated to support a USB wireless mouse. Can this be updated soon?
  • Backupper Linux version is extremely old, I don't think they will update it. Please use the current Backupper, which you can download from this link.
