Restore System without a Clon ??

Hello everyone,

my hard drive is broken, so I bought a new one;

now I want to restore my system.

But I don't have a system clone, only a system backup.

What should I do now?

First install a new Windows?

Then restore the backup?

Or can this also be done using the Aomei emergency stick?
(Without first installing a new Windows)
