Validate SanDisk Ultra Plus SDSSDHP-128G-G25 SSD has no bad sectors

My newly built Windows 8.1 professional PC is experiencing blue screen of dealth (BSOD) during normal use. I executed memtest86 on the memory to confirm the memory module is healthy and that passed. I want to confirm that my SanDisk SSD is healthy as well. I see that most hard drive vendors (WD, Seagate) have specific tools to confirm and repair bad sectors, however I did not see one for SanDisk. Does Sandisk have a tool to identify if my SSD has bad sectors? If so, please tell me where I can find it. If not please provide me with thoughts potential options or next steps.

SSD Model: SanDisk Ultra Plus SDSSDHP-128G-G25

Thanks!

  • Izzya,

Sandisk maintains utilities and a forum at http://u3.sandisk.com/.  There's also a free utility called Crystal Disk Info that is useful for checking the SMART information from drives.  Windows contains a utility called chkdsk that can also assist with diagnosing drive errors.
