How to choose ssd?

Hello all,

OK, let’s put it directly! Which is the fastest ssd on the market? I have a 120gb Kingston with me now, but still think it is slow. I’m considering Samsung EVO 840; is it worth it? Let’s put the money matter aside; any advice?

    Gannon's recommendation will be faster.  The Samsung EVO 840 series drives connect via SATA III.  As far as SATA drives are concerned that is quite a speedy product line.  If you have the available PCI-e slot and the chipset on your board has sufficient PCI-e lanes available to not interfere with your video card that's definitely a faster track.  You'll want to check your board though for both a physical PCI-e slot and how many lanes are available along with how many lanes the SSD needs for full performance.
