backup of bootable flash drive

edited August 2014 in AOMEI Products Support

I'm use AOMEI Backupper Standard Edition 2.0.2 for disk backup of my any bootable flash drive and restore it in the new flash drive. And this drive is not boot.

Where is my mistakes?

I think my drive's MBR is not transfer. Why?

  • If you look at the flash drive either using AOMEI Partition Manager or Windows Disk Managment, see if the flash stick is marked as active.

  • My source drive have inactive single partition but nevertheless is bootable

No, it's a GRUB based complect which contains many diagnostic tools

  • Maybe you should change the boot order.

  • boot order is correct

  • Hi @raudex,

I have to say sorry, what you do is not supported by our products. As there is something different related to the boot of flash drive and hard disk.Sorry, I am not clear how to acheive your goals anyway.

  • Hi raudex,

I use YUMI to create a multiboot usb drive. I would 1st create an .iso boot image of Backupper then use what ever program for your GRUB boot to place that .iso to your USB.

    Thank you

I know many ways to make my flashdrive is bootable, but i hoped to control MBR backup, restore & boot options of any drives in one backup program.
