Fix MBR without recovery console?
I have windows XP HOME installed on a laptop without working CD-ROM drive. How can I re-write the MBR without booting into the recovery console? (fdisk is not available at the command prompt)

If you have Aomei Partition Assistant installed and can boot your PC, click on the disk (not the partition) for your drive. There's an option on the menu to rewrite the MBR at this point. Another option is to download the Aomei PE Builder onto another computer, then build a bootable thumb drive or DVD. From there, boot from the removable disk and use Partition Assistant.
