Could Backupper do it?

Hi there,

At the moment I have a dual boot setup with Windows 8 & Ubuntu 13.10. I would like to upgrade to Ubuntu 14. But there's a big possibility this would mess up the dual boot setup. Reason why I want to know if I can count on Backupper to restore everything to the way things are now.

Thanks in advance for your help, JDL

in addition I suggest install any and all free boot manager tools, that is BOOTICE 1.3.3.2, and EasyBoot from Neosmart, and learn how Ubuntu is linked into the Windows Boot Manager. (I don't yet know but I know that I would want to learn this when I run dual-boot). You may study this on the Ubuntu 13 setup already.

It is easy to fix the Windows part of the dual boot when it is broken, running the command BCDBoot from bootable media (any current WinPE). bcdboot is needed because the above tools do not run in WinPE. I do not know what tool fixes the Ubuntu part.

  • Sorry, AOMEI Backupper cannot support t handle the double system in one disk.
