cloud backups? really?

this part of the product is a tragic fail, such a disappointment when it could be a huge advantage ;(

ABP
*does not* back up files to the cloud, it copies files into the cloud
clients folder and just assumes the magic will occur sometime in the
future. it does not check that the cloud software is running but
reports success even though no files have been transferred off the hard
drive. the same result can be achieved by copy and paste in explorer
without having duplicate IMHO. in addition, there's no separate metadata
file so if you ever had to rebuild a laptop and didn't know which
backup file contained the item needed, you'd have to download
*everything*

  • Currently, AOMEI Backupper only supports to choose a cloud drive desktop app as the target path of file backup and file sync, including Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, SugarSync, hubiC and Cloudme.
