Drive is smaller?

Okay, so.

Was trying to migrate all data to a newer, much larger drive in order to get away from the whole slowdown because my old drive was getting full. I cloned the disk over to the new drive, and went to work. When I got back, I saw that the new 2TB drive was registering as a 232 GB drive. Seeing that this was not what I wanted, and deciding to start over, I formatted the drive.

This erased the drive, of course, but it also left it reading as 232 GB, which is not what I installed. Please advise on what to do next.  I don't really want to go on just pushing buttons.

Ideally, what I'd like, is for all of my information to be on the larger 2 TB drive, including the OS, with the smaller drive wiped, and the system booting to the newer drive.

Thank you for taking the time to help me!
