Dual-booting Win Vista and Ubuntu: ext4 partition support?

At http://www.backup-utility.com/free-backup-software.html on the Work Environment tab, it notes that Aomei supports ext2, ext3 "and other file systems."  What is the current state of support for ext4 partition support such as one would find in default installations of the commonest Linux distros?  (I don't care about installing Aomei under Linux -- rather my interest would be in using an Aomei WinPE boot disc to image the dual-booting drive to DVD's.)

  • Hello jdhupp,

Thank you so much for posting your questions here. As for your query, firstly our software can backup ext4, but it's better to be used for backing up data partition which is a system partition. Currently, we cannot guarantee backing up Non-Windows system and after restore it, it will boot. And our software only support to be installed in Windows part. You may find other methods to backup your Ubuntu.

If you have any further questions please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
