Question: Photo quality loss due to compression of image-file?

Dear Forum,

I am just starting to back-up my photography folders. A (maybe) simple question:

If I choose a normal (or even high) compression during image-creation of a folder, will my recovered photos (filetypes: raw and jpeg) suffer quality losses?

Thanks a lot,

Greg

No. Air is left out as much as possible from the aomei-image file, while keeping the original files when restored. You could test that for yourself by backing up a small folder with File Backup and then restore to another folder. Compare original and restored files.
