tried to merge partitions and it failed

Hi i tried to merge my partitions and it failed when it was almost completed. Now i can't boot into windows. i've tried to rebuild my mbr but i have not luck. when i get to the step of it adding my windows installation it tells me: the requested system device cannot be found. I tried to set that partition to active, but it won't let me do that either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    We are so sorry for the problem you encountered this time with our program. Could you please tell us which two partitions you were trying to merge? And what is the error message when you boot the Windows? Have you tried the windows installation disc to perform a setup repair?

    If your OS still cannot boot, you may have to reinstall the OS. But before the reinstallation, you may first boot from an universal WinPE tool to copy your important files out of OS partition.
