Incremental Backup Schema (Backupper v3.1) - Delete Post (Fixed)

On AOMEI Backupper Server v3.1 I setup "Schedule" with "Backup Scheme" - "Incremental Backup Scheme" with "At least retain the latest "3" versions of backup image file." (Ticked - Make a full backup before performaing backup scheme)

I have been manually running the schedule task & I now have:-


Server.adi (9GB)

Server1.adi (9.01GB)

Server2.adi (50MB)

Server3.adi (50MB)

Server4.adi (9.1GB)

Server5.adi (50MB)

Server6.adi (50MB)

Server7.adi (9.2GB)

Server8.adi (50MB)

Server9.adi (50MB)


(Tested on Windows 2008 R2 SP1)


My question is when should it start deleting the older versions is it based on a 3 group/sets or based off 3 files (server.adi ,server1.adi, server2.adi)?


(I am thinking that that the person who wrote "Incremental Backup Scheme" forgot to add the clean-up/wipe part)

    As I also tried modifying it to t "2" versions & created another backup but it still does not wipe anything.

    Also to add using "Backup Scheme" - "Other Backup Scheme" - "Automcatically delete the previous 2 versions of obselete image file after the next backup finishes" does work properly :-)


    Please let me know what I need to do to get "Incremental Backup Scheme" working properly

    Fixed just had to delete any existign backups & re-create the task
