Scheduled task keeps crashing/hanging

When a task is executed at schedule (no matter if its via service or task scheduler) the backupper.exe process keeps randomly crashing. Tasks executed manually seem to work. The event log records the following entry:

These problems appeared with the introduction of the 3.x version.

  • SelfMan,

Please send us the log folder and the crash.dmp file. They are under C:/Program Files(x86)/AOMEI Backupper

  • I am having virtually the exact same issue, so am Awaiting Response to this.   I have a Synology DS214se NAS that I am using to write the backup to, and I think that it may be contributing...

Can run the task manually, and tonight, I just scheduled it to run ( after I rebooted ) a couple of minutes in the future and it ran fine... but if i let it run on the schedule normally it fails with very similar data to about post from SelfMan.

  • I had such problem on multiple systems. It did not depent if the task was started via Task scheduler or the new integrated service. I am sorry, I am not able to provide the crash log, because I reinstalled the backupper which cleaned the folders up.

Some system do backup to a USB drive and some on a Synology DS21x (where x = 2, 3 or 4)

  • PARoss  "AOMEI Standard 3.5 has failed to complete 3 times."

What action you do? Do you do the backup or clone?

You said that it has failed to complete.

    What error message you get?

Hope you can send us the screenshot of the problem.

  • I was using the clone feature. No errors. It just stopped working.

  • Please cancel it and re-clone it. If also get the problem, give us the picture.
