Hi There,

I have a full system backup using the free version. I am trying to restore it using VMware Workstation. I can boot from the recovery CD and restore my image but it doesn't seem to get a drive letter. Windows can't boot. Can I just turn on the image file? Or do I need to do something else to get Windows working. I have tried booting from my Windows CD but it just starts installing and doesn't give me the option to repair.

I'm using Windows 7.

    You mean that after restoration, the restored partitions didn't get a drive letter? I suppose that it is lack of the drive letter so the Windows is not able to boot. Did you try assign a drive letter to the partitions manually under disk management?
