Which bootable disc should I use ?

Hi I am aware u can make a windows PE and a Linux restoration disk. It is especially helpful for showing up the Linux partition so you can make a backup of this. I am using the windows PE one and wondered before restoring my linux partition if perhaps i still needed the linux restoration disk. I have read the website help pages but am not certain. Could you quickly confirm this for me and others who may misunderstand still. Also I assume I am safe to overwrite the current partition without first formatting partiton as the help pages suggested.

Thanks very much !

  • Hello,

We are sincerely sorry for the late reply. Currently all our products are focused on Windows Platform, we cannot support showing up Linux partition. However, our software can still backup and restore(sector by sector backup&restore) Linux Partitions, but it is only for data partitions usage, for Linux system partition we cannot make it to be boot. And yes, it is safe to overwrite the current partitions without first formatting partition.

    Best Regards,
