Main Threads:The program does not find the system partition
  • Greetings.

I am trying out AOMEI Backupper, and get this error message:

The program does not find the system partition.

My computer is an ASUS Transformer T100 running Windows 8.1.

My system drive is a 64 GB solid state drive.

Perhaps the problem is caused by there being multiple partitions on the solid state drive?

It has 4 partitions in this order:

    1. EFI system – 100 MB

    2. Recovery – 900 MB

    3. OS (C:) Primary – NTFS – 49 GB

    4. Recovery – 8 GB

The system boots and runs normally but AOMEI Backupper cannot see the system partition.

Thank you for any help you can give.

  • More info:

    I’m using 32 bit windows 8.1.

The solid state HD is a SanDisk SEM64G

Partition style is GUID Partition Table (GPT)

AOMEI Backupper can see SD cards and USB thumb drives andUSB hard drives, but cannot see any partitions on the solid state GPT drive.

It looks like it may be a limitation of Windows 8 – 32 bit.

    Acronis addresses it here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/43091
