Migrating New Laptop to SSD

Should I do a System Clone or Disk Clone when migrating from a 500gb hard drive to a 240gb SSD.   THe 500gb is from a new Dell so it has less than 80gb used.

I read tutorials here that suggest the System Clone but that ignores other partitions such as diagnostic and recovery.   I also want to be sure that the drive is bootable.


Note when I first connected the SSD, windows disk mgr asked me if I want the disk initiatilized with MBR or GPT.  I chose MBR - hope that will not affect the clone adversely for use in Windows 8.1

    I recommend you do a system clone and clone other partitions. If you use Backupper 2.5 or latter versiion, which allows you to do system restore and system clone between GPT and MBR disk, that will not affect the clone adversely for use in Windows 8.1
