Information Code:305. Unknown Error

When I try to explore an image in BackUpper, I am receiving the error, "Information
Code:305. Unknown Error."  This image is stored on a remote disk.  I
have checked it for errors and there are none.  When I transfer the
image to the local server and then try to explore the image, I can
successfully explore it.  Any ideas what could be going on here?

    Checking private structures...

    Checking backup data...

    Information Code:4102

    Failed to read file.




  • One thing that sticks out in the logs is:


    diskinfo.h(451): Failed to init GPT style table.
    [2       ]dyndisk.cpp(213): Failed to RegQueryValueEx on GetSysDgGuid.
    [0       ]ldmio.cpp(89): No dynamic disks are found.


    But I'm not too sure how to interpret that. 


    I've also attached the entire log that captures the event of me starting up AOMEI and attempting to explore the image.

    You said you transfer the image to your local server, is it a local disk? And you have permission to access that disk?

  • I found that I experience this issue when I save the backup to a "NAS" location.  If I save the backup via non-NAS but to the same exact location as I had mapped for the NAS location, I can successfully browse the image.


    i.e. 

    server: 10.0.0.38

    folder: backup


    Working Scenario

    save backup to mapped drive X:   (X: points to folder "backup" on 10.0.0.38)


    Non-working Scenario

    save backup to NAS location \\10.0.0.38\backup
