Here's my 2¢ on my 64-bit Win10 Pro Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.959):@Vagn_32: Version 4.6.1 "Create Bootable Media" does not DOES NOT WORK for any WinPE media whether it be legacy BIOS of UEFI mode. Right now, Backupper won…On my machine, in order to use the WinPE CD, I have to start from power-up and catch the "Press any key to boot from CD" message. If I don't, I get a message to insert a bootable device because it never retries the CD.
I have, and am using an UEFI bios.
I just again tried to make a USB bootable UEFI WinPE memory stick, and also tried making an ISO file after accidentally hitting my machine's reset button. I was planning on doing it the next time I rebooted purposefully, but my foot did it for me. …@Flyer: I did notice after posting the comment but I don't believe its in the User Manual, which is where I first go. The information needs to be in the manual. Anything t…@JohnnyboyGo There is no provision to select either WinPE or UEFI when creating a Linux bootable media.
I've scanned the installation directory, the Users directory, and the ProgramData directories and all of their sub-directories and there is no crash.dmp file.
Window's task scheduler is far better and more powerful than AOMEI's. Backupper is the only program that I have and I'm aware of that implements its own scheduler. I would recommend putting testing efforts in Window's task scheduler and deprecatin…Is there a place in the documentation that details how to do a disk restore for an incremental backup and a differential backup? I couldn't find any.
I only used the Linux version because the PE version I wrote to a CDROM appeared not to work. PE just took a very LONG LONG time for it to finally launch. At other times, Windows responds to the disk saying to insert a bootable media. I've learne…This will take some work to locate and correlate the AOMEI logs with the task scheduler history. This is an observation I have had for a long time but never reported it. I might try forcing a failure when I get some time. I concur on the lack of wireless keyboard and mouse support, and also no USB keyboard and mouse support in the Linux recovery environment. Good thing that I have a PS/2 keyboard and a USB to PS/2 mouse adapter. I found the most helpful information at the link below. It didn't solve these two errors:
BOOTREC /FIXMBR which resulted in an error about a missing element which was fixed by first running:
bcdboot c:\Windo…
I have what I believe is the same problem but when I go through the steps after entering:
bcdboot c:\windows /s L: /f UEFI
I get the error:
Failure when attempting to copy boot files.
It's attached. I noticed in making the screen shots that the backup type changed from differential to incremental. I don't recall that I changed that, but it might be possible. Is there log for those type of changes stored somewhere?
A screenshot is attached, but note that in the top half of the next and last run parameters have been overwritten by the subsequent backup that I ran when I noticed the failure. When the task failed, the last run parameter was 11/19/2017, the ne…
Yes, it appears there, but I found it via Home>Advanced>Properties>Versions>Backup Type>View Logs under the heading "Execution result".
Yes, my current backup scheme can be found here:
Yes, I understand. I've switched to incremental disk backups for two of my physical drives and just want to be sure that the incremental type fits my needs. However, I don't understand why it makes two full backups prior to doing incremental b…
I was aware of the thread you mentioned, but didn't see anything there that summarized the issue like the one line conclusion that I posted in my message #0…
I think part of the issue is that when I enable space management, my incremental backup is changed to differential without notification by Backupper.....
Something appears to be very wrong with my incremental system backup that has disk space management enabled. Can you please explain what it is doing? A screenshot of the situation can be found at this link:
The last change I made detailed in my post #7 cleared the error. It seems that AOMEI Backupper encountered Windows permissions problems when attempting to…The Vss error was replaced with the following error:
- System Yes, it appears that if you select to immediately run the backup the scheme does not make an incremental backup, but rather the next backup is a full backup and the then incrementals.
